Bond issued to pay Govt debts, does it included the live telecast cost of the election petition hearing? Does it included some judgement debts? and salary/allowaces in arrears?
If not THANK GOD.

What is a 7-year bond?
What is the relevance of this article if you can't explain yourself to achieve a near universal understanding?

Bond galore,Mahama and finance Minister did not know what they are doing. Why did Ghana need bond while they have US$1.5billion at bank undisturb. Why did you buy credit to pay debt? This result to double debt by the government and buying bond don't make sense. What at all did the Government do with our taxes and proceeds from our resources? This visionless Mahama is sending Ghana into bankruptcy. Can Ghanaians imaging this,Government said he need GHC600million to implement Export promotion strategy documents. My question is,don't the ministry under trade and export has workforce and receive monthly salary from Government? If Government needs this GHC600million why did he employ this workforce and what is they beneficial .The ministry is useless and should be eliminate from existance.

It is strange that this is the area that most comments must come from may be BOG is not explaining what they are doing. I think it is very important for BOG to explain everything about the issue of notes to the ordinary common person in Ghana.
BOG remember not to BUDGET too high because the price of materials and commodities is going down and down. Please look at China and Brazil.

I will use my limited knowledge to shed some light on this issue and hope it will help. The BoG does not budget for the nation, that is the responsibility of the Ministry of Finance. When government receipts (taxes, etc.)are below government expenditures (spending for roads, hospitals, salaries, etc.) the government has to fund the shortfall.
This is where the BoG comes in to issue bonds backed by the government (which supposedly cannot go bankrupt..hmmm). Because there are other outstanding bond issuances that have to be redeemed, the BoG keeps on borrowing to pay for the old debt and also help out with any shortfalls in our budgeting. This cycle will continue until we can balance our budget or sustainably spend below government receipts. The million-dollar question is "Can we do that?" Well that is anyone's guess.

Ghanaian leaders should wake up and think smart and work hard. We only go for easy solutions that don't work. We have land in plenty. We can grow fruits and export to Africa and ECOWAS, fresh and canned and earn billions every year. There is shortage of food in the world. Ghana awake.

It's actually a recycling affair. Unfortunately the BoG is selling bonds to raise funds which will eventually end up in politicians and their cronies' pockets instead of being invested in projects that would yield returns to retire these bonds. You can sell as many bonds as you wish but if you people don't manage the funds well, only simpletons will praise you.
