It is a good statement to the leaders of Africa, but Mr Minister our house in Ghana is not ready for free trade.Free Trade and bigger markets are what we need but our ports are now a jungle where govt sells seized cars to civil servants. Clearing Agents are the warlords of the ports. Ministry of Finance cannot collect the Govt's revenue. The Auditor General's Department does not audit the states systems, processes and procedures. Yesterday, the Palimenrary committee on Finance was congratulating the GRA for increased tax mobilisation but did not questioned the means by which these were obtained. Nigerian banks (Access Bank) are transferring monies out of Ghana without underlying transactions. What are you doing so that the Ghanaian can have an edge in an all African free Trade Zone?
