    they insured the loans in case of defult and will get paid by the insurance companys and get all their money back,[ and the some]so they can afford to write off the small busniss loans

    EXCELLENT AND NOW WE NEED TO HELP THEM TO REBUILD THEIR LIVELYHOOD BACK AS WELL AS THEIR CHILDREN FUTURE. IT A SHAME OTHER BANKS HAVE KEPT QUITE ONLY TRUE STANBIC GENIULY COME FORWAD

    Window dressing.... I am really disappointed in the article. They wrote off the loans not because they wanted to but because the amounts are not recoverable as they are supposed from business operations which no longer exists ...

    I wonder if they would have done that for a 1000 trades. Traders just flood them because they are a great bank.
