The govt competing with small businesses, and you are cheering them on. Dont you think these opportunities should be openned for small businesses? If the govt intend to collect revenue taxes, then it should stop unnecessary competition. At the end of the day, all profits belong to the bosses in govt, anyways..I hope smart people will follow up on money trail with this venture. Let us get out of the narrow mindedness and show these Narcissists that we are the government..

It it will be consumed make it Gali, in this case I am of the view that it will be used as animal feed or for the extraction of starch. If it is the latter why nod advise the Chinese to set up a starch factory. Exporting Gali to Brazil will be a lucrative venture, and least I forget to Latin American countries with majority native population.

GHANAIANS MUST BE VERY CAREFUL.NOW OUR BREWERIES OUR USING CASSAVA FOR BEER AND THERE IS THE NEED TO ENCOUGED THEM.CHINA CAN DEMAND ALL OUR FOOD AND IT WILL NOT BE ENOUGH FOR THEM.
SO I CALL ON GOVT.NOT ALLOW ANY CHINES TO PLANT CSSAVA ON THEIR OWN.LET US SAVE OUR POOR SISTERS AND BROTHERS IN THE VILLAGES.THIS IS THE TIME FOR GOVT TO INTERVEN AND ESTABLISH CASSAVA PRODUCE BUYING COMPANY TO REGULATE PRICES FOR FARMERS.SOME YEARS AGO NANA KONADU AND GUZZY TANDOR WAS IN THIS BUSINESS BUT I NOT KNOW FOR NOW.I WISH THEY CAN GIVE EDUCATION TO FARMERS AS TO HOW THEY CAN GO ABOUT IT.
REMEMBER,GHANA FRIST.WE SHOULD BE CAREFUL OF THOSE VIRUS MOVING ACROSS AFRICA.IT MIGHT EVEN BE A DELIBRATE PLAN TO DISREDIT THE PRODUCT.IT IS CHEAPER TO BUY KOKONTE IN CHINA THAN POTATO POWDER.SO LETS SAVE GUARD IT.

China has truly come to save african countries. With the economic meltdown in western countries what would african countries have done if China had not emerged as an economic power?Because of China cassava has become a major exportable commodity and foreign exchange earner for the country.Almost all major development projects in Ghana are being financed by China. The government must seriously consider expanding trade with China which has got a huge market for products from Ghana.Ghana chocolate for example has a potentially huge market in China and can be a big foreign exchange earner for the country.
