Are you really sure this is true? I can not imagine that thw whole country of Iran dose not own its own oil refinary, after exporting oil for the past 100yrs, and this project could be build in Effutu. Look i would at thi time caution these leaders to find out the truth behind some things when people like these comes to tell them some sweet stories.
This is the same way Kofi Wayo came to tell Ghanaians way back those days that he owns an oil company in the USA, and therefore he wants to take over the GNPC and when the than PNDC (NDC) went to check behind him they found that to be a scam.
Would Ghanaians ask them selfs some questions when people come to tell them such stories?
When did the Nation of Nigeria, after a 100Yrs. of export of its oil had an oil refinary? were they not refinding their oil in Ghana some time ago? well even now I do not known if the have one. As this topic has ermarge, I would do my googole seacr and see.
These people are using some strategy, town some lands in Ghana. Ghanaians need to open their eye well these days as the world global economy is shifting.

There is valid sceptism on the announcement of this 200.000bpd refinery. This large capacity is at the highest end of capacities opertaed by most oil rich and developed countires. Tema refinery is less than 50.000bpd capacity. Max individual refinery capacities for Nigeria = 110bpd, Ivory Coast = 70.000bpd, Bahrain = 250.000, Venezuela = 300.000bpd, Observe, Venezuela produces 2.4 millionbpd of crude, whereas Ghana produces only about 110.000bpd crude. Further more information on the cost of this proposed 200.000bpd refinery should be known even if it is oly an estimate. We can the be able to determine if we are been told the truth or "PORKIES" as these officials tend to do in the case of the latter.

There are too many dreamers in Ghana. I am not an EWE nor a supporter of the NDC because of the Rawlingses but any witful thinking Ghanaian knows that the NDC won the elections and also that the NPP has no case in court. This case is going to be thrown out very soon. You cannot win two out of Ten regions and believe you have won a national election. The NPP is a regional and tribal political party and as long as they use tribalism as their main source of campaigning, they will ever remain in opposition. All international observers plus lots of the developed world are saying that the elections were free and fair so what is "Mata Meho" NPPs problem. You cannot use force and throw bombs as they did in the sixties to come to power. By the way Nana, has more problems at the moment that thinking of being a President. At the moment, he must proove to Ghanaians that he is a real lawyer and not a fake one. He must tell Ghanaians where he did his law studies and also produce his certificate. This issue might end him up in JAIL.

If it is true why not locate that in the Northern Region for an expansion sake. Why clearing the forest. The desert of Saudi Arabea can sustain such investment why not our north to move population there.

It is "Bollocks". Another attempt to fool Ghanaians. Note though that it will not be feasible (for what market and where would the money come from) to build such a refinery in the North, unless oil is discovered there. It will be a logistical nightmare. Imagine constructing a 300 mile pipeline or a rail system of similar distance to the North.
