I would be very grateful if the official e-mail address of the BIA is made available. I have some concerns especially regarding the NPRA. We need to address inefficiencies in these 2 institutions that have forced a retirement package on Workers who retire and yet are forced by circumstances through no fault of theirs to still look for other means of livelihood to survive. Otherwise we need to go to the courts and reverse this compulsory legislation. it is killing workers of Ghana!!!

Seriously, I think such a probe is long overdue, I do not know whether I am the only Ghanaian worker who think SSNIT must be probed.

I began work in 1974 and about to retire in September 2013. In 2011 I went to check my contributions and was shocked at the statement I was given. I then went to the person responsible in the organisation where I work and a complete list of my contributions was prepared which I sent to the SSNIT office in Tema. I went there a year later to check and to my utmost shock nothing has been done, still the same old statement indicating that I worked for 2, 3, 5, 8, 11 8 months in certain years. I do not know whether I resign and go back to work with the same organisation.
I would be retiring in the first week of September, 2013 and SSNIT has done nothing about my contributions, despite the fact that my organisation gives them soft copies of the monthly contributions of all the staff.
The most annoying aspect of their operation is that they sanction any employer who defaults/delay in the submission/payment of their workers contributions. SSNIT should also be severely sanctioned for failing to update workers contributions. They are always in a hurry to collect workers contributions and it ends at that.
IT IS HIGH TIME SOMETHING DRASTIC IS DONE BEFORE PENSIONERS START DYING BECAUSE OF THEY SHOCK FROM SSNIT.
Even if they are unable to update all workers contributions, at least they should work on workers who are about to retire a year prior to their retirement. It is a big big shame!
I think TUC should come in and fight for Ghanaian workers
