Well done my friend Nyame Ekuma, God bless you. I weep at my fellow Ghanaians including our president. They are bloody idiots, our oil is been sold and is completely gone. We are idiots and for that matter we shall suffer. Even the chinese are doing galamsey in Ghana. How stupiod can a country be? Asante Hene bought a mansion in uk and lost a great deal of the stool's jewels in Holland yet nobody questioned him. Meanwhile people in kumasi cannot read and write. All we do in Ghana is pray from morning to midnight for miracles. We are backward and very slow. The Ghanaian man thinks only about sex. Our radio stations dont focus on critical issues about the way foreigners are robbing our natural resources. They are just some dumb illiterates. No goverment official goes to jail, what happened to wulome? Where is accountability in Ghana? why didnt we sign oil deals with our African nations instead of the west? we are idiots and we will definately suffer. well they should carry on, when people like JJ,the Tsikatas, the Kuffours etc 70yrs and cant get access to basic state of the art medical facilities they will reflect and ask themselves some serious questions.

A young woman in Takoradi was so depressed that she decided to end her life by throwing herself into the ocean. She went down to the docks at the Harbor and was about to leap into the frigid water when a handsome young sailor ashore Seaman saw her tottering on the edge of the pier, crying. He took pity on her and said, "Look, you have so much to live for. I'm off to America in the morning, and if you like, I can stow you away on my ship. I'll take good care of you and bring you foreign food every day." Moving closer, he slipped his arm around her shoulder and added, "I'll keep you happy, and you'll keep me happy."
The girl nodded yes. After all, what did she have to lose? Perhaps a fresh start in America would give her life new meaning.
That night, the ashore seaman sailor brought her aboard and hid her in a lifeboat. From then on, every night he brought her three Fante Kenkey and a piece of Fish, and they made passionate love until dawn. Three weeks later, during a routine inspection, she was discovered by the captain.
"What are you doing here?" the captain asked.
"I have an arrangement with one of the Ashore seaman sailors," she explained. "I get food and a trip to America, and he's screwing me in my ass and i am sucking his dick in the Akaraka chi cha cho way and my ass also burns with my pussy"
"He certainly is," the captain said. "This is the Takoradi Tug boat waiting for the Dodi Princess Ferry."

As you can all see, the oil subject is getting sensitive by the day, ofcourse the government is pretending a blind eye about the grievances of the Ghanaian people. When the people can no longer use bottle up their frusatrations, they will vent it out. It will then be too late to be calling God for peace in Ghana. A learned fellow has been posting an article on this site titled " The road to Kigali", I urge my fellow Ghanaians to read that article carefully. We as a country aided by our great leaders seem to be steering nicely on the road to Kigali. Blackman dont like peace, we always want to see blood, why? why cant we share the wealth? why cant we use the oil revenue to develop the country? why are we still struggling with the basic essentials like electricity, water and medical supplies whiles our leaders are striking millions of dollars deals with our oil. The masses are not asking for much, they only want a "life". Keep denying them their rights to basic food and shelter and trust me, they will eventually take what is thiers with force. The issue of accountability is a problem in Ghana. Soon the people in Syria will start the labourous task of rebuilding thier nation from scratch. It happened in Liberia, Sierra Leone etc. Oil and greed will send up surely down the same road. As for our radio stations, keep playing music to entertain the rich and dont focus on the curruption in the country. We are all in this together, when the shit hits the fun, we will all be responsible as Citizens of the mother land.

When you sign a contract, you put in a specific projects, dates for expiration and renewals. Our govt did not do that, they were only interested in their personal gains if not why should 90% of the oil goes to foreign private companies leaving the whole country with just 10% for unlimited period.Let's see how Kwame Nkrumah negotiated Valco Deal with Kaiser an American Aluminium Gaint Company.Out of only Valco because of the Bauxite Deposit in the country Nkrumah got Akosombo Dam,Tema Port and Township plus Motorway and Heavy Industries.I think Kuffour gave Ghana a raw deal without considering many factors.Out of Aluminium Deal with Kaiser, our first President got many Industrial,Commercial and Social benefits.Look at the Oil Contracts today and tell me what we benefit,it's not comparable to what Nkrumah did with Bauxite alone. The Gas Plant is very good but there should be a new OIL REFINERY at the same time and some byproduct industries to spring up.The American,English and Chinese businessmen are not here to put sense into our heads, they are here to make profits, good bread so we need to wake up and follow the steps of Kwame Nkrumah.I can see a new motorway from Cape 3 points to Takoradi,a whole modern township with a port like Tema in the Western Region but I am afraid this will never be accomplished. At the moment we don't get anything at all,not in terms of infrasructure or positive socioeconomic impact so who gains?Thank you.

We must enforce the local content legislation to ensure that foreign companies employ locaal staff and train them to enable them gain experience and expertise in the oil and gas sector.
We do not want a repeat of the gold mining situation where Anglogold has exploited us since the colonial era.
Our chiefs should stop selling land to foreign companies, including those who use Ghanaian frontmen to get around this. We must pass laws to this effect.
The authorities must construct proper roads in the Western region, especially in the Western corridor,to facilitate work on the oil and gas industry. The railways must be rehabilitated to support the national and local economies. Takoradi airport must be upgraded.

With the sudden resignation of Dr Chambas from the post of the ACP Secretary-General to take up his new position as the Special UN/African Commission Envoy to Darfur, the ACP Secretariat of close to 75 countries has somehow being left in a limbo.
Its not that there are no well-qualified candidates from the 75 Caribbean, Pacific and African countries to fill the position. Its simply because the post of Sec-General revolves around the various region. t was the turn of West Africa until 2015, following which East Africa has to put forward a candidate.
With Chambas suddenly resigning, the West African Ambassadors decided to discuss options to look for a replacement to complete Chambas term. This was about a month ago. But as at last week I was informed that it has been a challenge to get a replacement from West Africa simply because given the limited duration of less than 2 years for West Africa to complete its current term most good candidates would already be engaged somewhere else and would not like to be in a post for just 2years.
The option from the Ambassadors would then be to allow East Africa to introduce its candidate to complete both Chambas term, then to start their own term. However I think if Ghana is to introduce a successor to Chambas similar as was done for Ambassador Gbeho to complete Chambas term at ECOWAS , the Brussels based ACP Ambassadors would accept it.
In this case well qualified individuals with experienced political background (of a Ministerial level and above) or Ambassadorial backgrounds interested in gaining more international political experience should talk to the Ghana government to provide support in putting their candidature forward. It might not be for a long duration. Just around 2 years maximum, unless in the unlikely event that the East Africans chose to waive their tenure then you might have another 5years in the role.
Few guys in mind are Dr Apraku, Spio-Gabrah, Betty-Mould or Bawumiah if he can wean himself off Akuffo-Addos lost cause.
The money may not be that hot but the international exposure and network you would build would stand you in good stead for other future roles in the international community.
Individuals with the requisite political and technical background should first discuss with the Ghanaian Ambassador in Belgium, His Excellency Kofi Yiadom (+32 2 7058220) on the interest in the post to get a picture of the updated situation.. There are other individuals directly in charge of the selection process whom I can directly put in contact, if given all clear by the Brussels Mission and Accra.
