The last three-year bond, sold in October to raise a targetted amount of GH¢500 million, ended up selling GH¢1.46 billion at a coupon rate of 21%.
Since February 2012 the government’s three-year borrowing rates, then at 15%, have gained six percentage points to 21% as the BoG offered higher yields to investors to offset exchange rate losses resulting from the weak cedi.
hhhhmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!
As usual the Cedi tends to depreciate after X'mas holidays and gather more steam in it's DEPRECIATION around March each year.
Moreover is the Nation's DEBT RATIO for the past 4 year's not so STATISTICALLY HIGH - & with the COST OF THE BORROWING TOO HIGH NOT GOING TO BE A BURDEN ON THE STATE'S BUDGET - WHEN THERE IS THE HIGH LIKELYHOOD OF BUDGETARY-DEFICIT SUBSIDY CUTS FROM DONOR COUNTRIES.
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm ASEM BEBA DABI!!!!

Subsidies should be tagetted towards the poor.
We need to ensure that removal of subsidies is done in such a way as not to spike inflation.
