In Ghana, there are established building blocks, paint, electrical, roofing sheets, iron rods, wood/plywood, tiles, and ceramics factories that serve the local market which building contractors have access to.
So what is the meaning of this FALSE statement by an institution that is supposed to face the truth and urge the full participation and collaboration with these factories?
You always superimpose wider African issues on Ghana unfairly. You can have Africa at heart, but Africa is not Ghana and Ghana is not Africa (don’t spin your head now).
Use Ghana’s good economic conditions and enabling opportunities as a yardstick for other African countries to emulate or as examples.
The reason why houses are not ‘really’ affordable is because of the historical greediness of estate developers and their ensigns. Even, the SHC is greedy and their houses are not affordable to the ordinary citizens due to low incomes and lack of transparent mortgage system. Keep talking if you want!!!!!
