I don’t think people realise how malls affect employment in communities. It destroys entrepreneurship and make communities over reliance on imported goods and it is dangerous for every country. Mall design and what gets sell there must be restricted to certain things and number of malls in a region should not exceed a number. If not we become import driving country with over reliance on foreign goods. So yes mall so take away community jobs. A lot of communities in Europe have resisted the building of mall in and around their cities just to protect the local bakeries, tailors shops etc. example in Flemish part of Belgium. We need to protect our local businesses unless the things been sold at the malls are 80% locally produced and it meets our standard.
