Your suggestion is good, but surprisingly disrespectful to Traditional Authorities. Traditional Authorities do extremely good job in all spheres of community life, including stabilising their jurisdictions. They deserve better treatment and adequate resources to enable them work to support their communities. Why do you think Traditional Authorities, not excluding the Asantehene, should be offered ‘old vehicles”. The life and safety of hard working Traditional Rulers, to you and your likes, don’t matter. Very disrespectful!

There are 5 traditional councils in my district. How do they manage one vehicle? I'm not sure this is a loudable idea.

See am, lol has any traditional council members complained about their movement of vehicles or while some important institutions lack such vehicles.

I hope that this directive will not lead to the irresponsible use of the vehicles provided to traditional authorities. Maintenance cist of vehicles is already high. Drivers and mechanics will have a field day stealing spare parts and fuel and lubricants. Thus directive must be carefully thought through.

Currently, there are about 196 traditional councils in Ghana. Do they all have at least one Nissan patrol vehicles? With competing priorities and schedule conflicts, this is NOT going to work. It’s totally a BS directive. Some of the traditional councils receive royalties, what do they use the royalties for? If the Minister wants to make them part of the central government, so so but it would not be feasible. The government gives the chiefs and queen mothers monthly stipends, and now they are going to compete for vehicles. The chiefs are now going to be the boss of the DCEs or the regional minister, and would soon start complaining and castigating them. You watch. Minister, YOU have been ‘talked’ into a trap. Next time, the traditional councils representatives would request for offices, and other allowances. Your miopic traditional sensibility is taking you back to the past. The chiefs are gaining an overt foothold for a parallel government which does not work under a Republic. Open your eyes, fool!

But all that can wait. Let's find money to provide luxury vehicles to chiefs. Chiefs who are selling lands daily and pocketing the money. Let's provide them vehicles to move around.
Everybody clap your hands for this minister and this government who approved this directive.
