The introduction of the AI the Tema harbour to assess import duties is being poorly implemented. Wrong and unrealistic amounts are being given to import, no one is available or ready to help correct so many erroneous figure being issued by the so called AI. Technologies are introduced to better systems and mitigate challenges but not to make things worse. Higher Authorities must intervene to solve this BIG PROBLEM that the so called AI has brought to importers. Too much delays leading to high cost in clearing imports.

Ghana should not the mistake Nigeria is making. If you sent your goods to the ports for exports they remain there until they get rotten. Same with imports. This has affected Nigerians export drive and also made importers to prefer Cotonou port and Nigeria is losing both revenue and investor confidence.
