Our tax to GDP ratio is less than 18%. Government collects 18 peswas out of every one cedi of economic activity generated. On South Africa, they collect twice as much. And for most countries in the developed world it’s over 30%. In France it’s as much as 50%! Until tax collection goes up our sorry state of infrastructure will never improve. Period. Digital taxes are paid every where in the civilised world. We talk too much in Ghana.
