Well, you tell that to the President of the Republic who just bought luxurious and very expensive V8 cars as a gift to retired army officers (see Ghanaweb of 3rd August 2026). Where did the money come from for the purchase of the vehicles? The poor and often authoritative African political leadership is one of the main reasons to our underdevelopment. Unfortunately, the mass media which are supposed to be the voice of the people are often mute when our leaders misuse our limited resources on extravagant expenditures.
