When other individuals are appointed to or resign from boards, the news is normally released immediately. Why has it taken the governor five months to release information about his resignation? And what were his reasons, apart from mention that the opposition party had questioned his integrity with respect to his membership of the board?
If there are provisions for the Bank to be represented by other ranks, why did the governor not announce his replacement, rather than announce that he has not attended board meetings for the last five months? If his absence from the board for five months has not had any adverse effects on the activities of GoldBod Board, is there any good reason that a replacement should be found for him at all? His position was just loot and share for the boys, for that matter! We can be several thousands of cedis better off without his presence or replacement on the board!

I read it somewhere last night, the Land and Natural Resources substantive minister is jumping Goldbod ship too. I stand corrected if I'm wrong. If it's true, why are these important officials jumping ship?
I think, they owe Ghanaians an explanation. Since the majority in parliament is not allowing a parliamentary hearing and investigation to get to the bottom of Goldbod activities, it's imperative to hear from these important officials to tell the nation why they're jumping Goldbod ship. Their reputation and integrity are at stake. What goes up will come down. The truth will eventually comes out regardless. It's just a matter of time.
The governor is doing a marvelous job. It's better for him to give a 110% attention to BOG business than any other activity that will distract his attention. I'm glad he left Goldbod. I wish him the best.
