Most Ghanaians are just stupid. How can you misunderstand the illustration the man gave as a law if you are not doing the wrong thing? Some of our beloved travelers have 200 cell phones/ 1,000 laptops in their checked-in luggage when they land in Accra. It was just an example. But evil minded Ghanaians will misconstrued that to be a law. Seize the phones and laptops. They are for sale in Ghana.

Typical ignorant villager, that's how good your English language is as a Ghanaian when you open your big mouth like a hippo, on impulse, to vent idiocies, you moronic arseh0le. Do you think we don't know those thieves at the GRA?
We bring phones for families and friends, and if we're now going to pay duties on 3/4 cheap phones they can't afford, the GRA should go ahead and let them know.

It's soo important to note that, taxes on air line tickets to Ghana is way too much, don't make tourism unattractive for the Nation.

Has anyone applied for a building Permit at the Tema Metropolitan Assembly (TMA)? After paying hard cash to obtain the building permit, applicants are subjected to very disrespectfull and corrupt processes at the Works department. This process is unecessarily stretched for many years by the staff at the Works department due to their incompetence and corrupt processes. The current head at the Works department is a guy who calls himself "Engineer Obour" is the worst culprit. This arrogant and over pampered "Obour" guy behaves as if he owns his position forever and will never die in this life. Posterity will judge all of this corrupt people at the Works department of the TMA

The auditors general is completely useless and lying to us. In their first publication, they said we should not accept any packages from our friends and family members, you want us to mail them so that you can steal them. All of you are criminals. How much is your salary and you are building two, three houses with two years of service. Ghanaians in abroad will stop sending money to the country and we will see what happens in the country

NB:Anything for sale must be taxed
Buying things outside which can be bought here in ghana weakenour economy and strengthen yhe economy of the other country.
Taxes are use to pay workers, and develop the country hence there is the need to blook all the loop holes and gather the coins

If the Customs Commissioner, Aaron Kanor is truly dedicated to his job, he should then focus his attention on the root going on at the Tema Port, where a few, if not all the Customs officers are supervising the export of hard drugs to other countries as is the case recently.
Which patriotic citizen/leader would look unconcerned for Customs officers to allow container shipments with cocaine hidden in containers for shipment only to be detected at the ports of destination? He should focus on cleaning his house and leave hard working diasporans who travel to Ghana with a few mobile phones in the luggage to be given to family members or friends.
If not weapons, what else would one smuggle in his luggage to Ghana? The Commissioner should check the whole Customs entity, they are the most corrupt ones in the country called Ghana.

Can there be more clarity on this Customs duty excise on Phones etc. Instead of this muddled information being given out by GRA and Custom Officers. It leaves travellers open to Abuse and thievery. Thanks.
