Energy and Green Transition Minister Dr John Abdulai Jinapor has commended the Minister of Roads and Highways, Kwame Governs Agbodza, for what he described as the “massive” road construction projects underway in the Volta Region.
Dr Jinapor made the commendation on Friday, August 28, 2026, when he launched a GH¢598 million rural electrification project in Ho to connect 206 communities in the region to the national electricity grid.
According to the Energy Minister, the road projects being undertaken by Mr Agbodza were helping to open up the region and improve connectivity.
“When I was approaching, I saw massive road construction ongoing. So, let me commend my good friend and brother, the Roads Minister, Kwame Agbodza, for what he is doing to open up this region,” Dr Jinapor said.

He noted that the Roads Minister was not only constructing new roads but was also undertaking expansion works to improve the quality and capacity of key routes in the region.
“He is not just doing the road; I’ve seen that he is expanding the road,” he added.
Dr Jinapor subsequently congratulated Kwame Agbodza and wished him success in his efforts to improve road infrastructure across the Volta Region.
“So, Kwame, my congratulations to you. I wish you the best,” he said.
