THE THEN NPP GOVERNMENT, UNDER WHICH HE GEDION, AND BAWUMIA WERE CENTRAL ECONOMIC FIGURES, CHOSE TO HIDE CRITICAL INFORMATION, CITING MARKET SENTIVITY AS THE REASON.
HE ALSO REFUSES TO TELL THE WORLD WHY THE IMF FURTHER REDUCED THE 80 MILLION CAP TO 60 MILLION IN THE FIRST PLACE. HE BRUSHES OVER THAT PART SEEMLESSLY AS IF HE THINKS HE SMARTER RHAN THE REST OF US.
IF THE NPP PROFESSIONAL DO SUBJECT THEMSELVES TO PEER-SCRUTITY, I DON'T THINK THEY WOULD COME OUT IN PUBLIC TO MAKE SUCH HALF-BAKED PROFESSIONAL STATEMENTS.
WE STILL DON'T KNOW WHY. ANOTHER NPP SECRET THEY EXPECT GHANAIANS TO SWALLOW JUST BECAUSE IT CONCERNS THE NPP.
HE MAKES THE ARGUMENT THAT THE NPP FOLLOWING THE IMF 60 MILLION CAP HELPED TO IMPROVE THE RESERVES, BUT WHAT HE FAILS TO REALIZE IS THAT ONCE UNDER THE IMF PROGRAM, THE NPP HANDS WERE EFFECTIVELY TIED IN TERMS OF THEIR OFORI ATTAH-LED RECKLESS FUNDS WATINGS.
THERE WAS THE POTENTIAL TO INJECT 125 MILLION BEFORE THE 60 MILLION CAP
, BUT AS USUAL, THE OFORI ATTAH-LED NPP ECONOMIC POLICY WAS FRAUGHT WITH THE DESIRE TO MAKE PERSONAL GAINS OUT OF EVERY GOVERNMENT ECONOMIC POLICY AGAINST THE STANDARDS OF INTERNATIONAL FINANCES, AND THAT TENSION PERSUED THE NPP ALL ITS ENTIRE TIME IN OFFICE.
IF ANYTHING, WE NOW KNOW WHAT WAS HIDDEN FROM SOME NPP-IMF REPORTS
AND WHY.
IN HIS ATTEMPT TO TELL US THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE DICRETIONARY AND RULE-BASED ASPECTS OF THINGS, I THINK HE MAY HAVE EDUCATED THE LAYMEN SUCH AS MYSELF, BUT I DON'T THINK HE SERIOUSLY THINKS HE IS ANY KNOWLEGEABLE THAN THE PROFESSIONALS IN BOG AND THE FINANCE MINISTRY, BECAUSE GIVEN THE CURRENT STATE OF THE ECONOMY, ONE WOULD DEFINITELY SAY THAT GHANA'S ECONOMY IS DEFINITELY SAFE IN THE HANDS OF THE CURRENT CROP OF POLITICAL-ECONOMISTS
