That was not what Kufuor and NPP saw, they believe government should not be in the business of doing business.

Legacy debt from when? Rawlings left office to Kufuor in 2000. What happened to it's management for 6 years under Kufuor.
You could have easily checked this fact.
No, Ghana Telecom was not sold to Malaysia.
Instead, in 1996 and 1997, the Government of Ghana sold a minority 30% stake in Ghana Telecom to Telekom Malaysia, which also took over management of the company. The majority stake remained with the Ghanaian.
Kufuor first gave this stake to the Norwegians who came and further run it down in a year.
At least, he quicky kicked them out and sold it to Vodafone.
Yes, NDC sold part of Asante Goldfields but Kufuor did the final damage.
The man had no interest in growing wealth for the state.
It had to be wealth for their cronies.

At present, Ghana, an underdeveloped country is expensive than most of wealthy Western Countries. Ghanaian leaders are vampires, making its citizens in all corners turn mini vampires. One can say that Ghana is peaceful but it's too expensive compared to other countries in the world for whatever reason its citizens cannot tell because they're all part of the kanker that has eaten the country up.

And we don't even have a national airlines. We pride ourselves in insignificant things. Yet we have successfully destroyed our forests and rivers - a bad legacy for generations yet unborn. We have serious housing deficit. Our hospitals are ill equipped. We have misplaced priorities in infrastructure development. Our power generation is woefully confusing to our engineers. The list goes on. Rwanda came out of civil war to rebuild the country to the envy of many African nations. Almost seventy years after independence and our development seems to be subjected to political debacle.

Authorities are not that smart in Ghana, they do the first thing they think of in screwing you, without looking at the bigger picture.
Tourism costs the Country NOTHING and you they screw you massive amounts of money just to leave the place....What better way to turn tourists away after, spending around $200 dollars a day on average for over 2 million tourists a year. Not bad coin when you consider it costs the Government nothing.Staffing the Airport costs just the same, if there's 1000 a day or 20000 a day,of people coming in.
I get they are screwing the public ,to build other infrastructure, that's progress, but what can't it be done in a better way?
The people who run Accra Airport as it is ,are not suited to the job. They are not that cleaver. Why? Because they can't see the bigger picture.......Money makes money, yes it does.....So instead of turning people away,be more tourist friendly.... it's money for jam....
Cut visa fees by half,to a level of affordability for a period of 4 months over the busy months,The Airport still have other charges that are Mandatory for any airport, but reduce the cost of travel to come here as it's excessive.
