My Prof Bopkin, tomorrow is Sunday and I believe you're a Christian so let's refer to Matthew 25:14-30,the Parable of the Talents,a wealthy man about to embark on a journey summoned his three servants ànd gave them Talents to manage in his absence, first servant five Talents, second servant two Talents and third servànt one talent, each according to his ability, the first and second servants worked and doubled their Talents but the third servant being lazy and fearing the wrath of his master buried his talent, the master returned ànd invited his servants to render accounts, the first and second servants who doubled their Talents were rewarded with greater responsibilities whilst the third servant who buried his talent retrieved it ànd gave it to his master with the excuse that he feared losing it and incurring his wrath, his master took it back and reprimanded him.Prof.,President Mahama ànd his Finance Minister and their battalion of economic advisers are behaving like the third servant who buried his Talent for fear of losing it,they fear to open up the economy because of inflation whilst thumping their chest as better managers of the economy, nothing is happening in the economy with everybody complaining,GRA is far behind its target because businesses are not making profits as estimated to be taxed. This is an economy with impressive numbers on paper but meaningless ànd deceptive in reality.Inflation is 3.8%? but prices of goods and services are rising,US dollar is àt a rate that nobody gets at the commercial banks. The campaign of calumny they spent 8yrs waging against the then government has turned back to follow them like a faithful dog following its master, finish.
