Same modus operandi has been used by all governments and it is still not working. Please, can someone think outside the box with a better solution?
My take is to engage a serious private entity to run these buses and get paid compensation based on certain performance metrics. The employees will belong to that company.
This is going on in other sparts of the world and it works like a charm.

Design a master dedicated bus lanes network for the city that can be developed in phases. This will prove cheaper than a subway or rail line since the locomotive engines cost too much.
Now let the private sector buy the buses according to government as specification and charge them a percentage of their daily sales...
I tell you, government will make far more money, jobs will be created and people may even park their cars if they realize this beats traffic and is cheaper
Spending large sums on buses by government... not innovative enough .. but who am I.... only my humble thoughts...

Same old Approach. Dont our politicians think? or its just deliberate. We dont need busses. Already the system and roads are choked and they are still going to bring in more busses to worsen the problem. We just need roads and expansion. The vehicles are too many for the roads and that is the problem. I wonder if these people just dont have brains to think.

@Agyengo I agree with u to some extent..quality road network is the basis for economic development..Govt should make an effort to construct every road networks..the underline word is every road networks and not some..a road is a network that should be connected with ease..you cannot connect some place and leave some place..the number 1 reason Ghana as a country is not developing at a fast pace is because the country is not constructing quality rode networks.. a road is fixed today, in the next 6-12pm the, the road is already deteriorating..A country cannot develop to its full potential without good road networks..industrialization can follow(24hour economy) after most road that’s our highways, inner city roads, inner town roads and inner villages..we must take pride in building quality roads that can last for Atleast 15-20years..

We need those buses to transport people immediately to work and back homes. Then, for the next 10 to 15yrs, there should be subway trains transportation in all the cities.

My God, the trotros are overflowing with dilapidated trotros on the roads. The trotros on the roads are a hazard and a joke ! The trotros need to be monitored and regulated.
Half of them on the road has to be taken off the roads. While you rich forks sit in your private cars, we the common citizens are paying the prize. The trotros are not fit to be picking up even live- stocks. The insides of trotros are all torn and the iron bars are exposed to us to sit and to scratch us. I have definitely had my flesh torn off trying to get out or trying to make room for someone else to get off.
Who are you people in Ghana ? You're too lax and daisy people. Mediocre people, and nobody cares !
You don't keep an eye on what's going on in the country. The rich forks are busy in their expensive cars and houses while we suffer and die young. Very bad !
