So what is the government of Ghana doing about the stock of rice produce in 2025 major and minor season… The store rooms are chocked with rice and now we are still farming this major season too, where do we keep this one and how will we get market to sell our previous harvest…it’s very heart breaking and sad for a youth in Ghana who decide to go into rice farming, investing money, energy and time and at the end of the farming season won’t be able to sell of what they produce…
Our Country and its government officials are really disappointing us … and it hurts to the core.

The weeds are not a problem but the lack of market for locally produced rice. Farmers know before hand the challenges in growing the crop and are always prepared for that. Weed control is becoming easy these days with the int ... read full comment
The weeds are not a problem but the lack of market for locally produced rice. Farmers know before hand the challenges in growing the crop and are always prepared for that. Weed control is becoming easy these days with the introduction of herbicicides. High cost of fertilizer is yet another problem. Maybe further studies may reveal the real problems but this result is too shallow to admit.
