Yes you need serous education. When they say government is pumping dollars into the system. It doesnt mean the government dashes people with dollars. Get some education. It just simply means the banks exchange cedis for the government dollars. So that same money which is now in cedis can be used to fix roads. That is why all roads are being fixed in the country.

The fiduciary duty of a central bank is make sure the currency is stable. To do that, they save money. In our case we save dollars. Then when people with cedis want to go do foreign trade, the central bank takes their cedis, in exchange for the saved dollars so they can go and trade in foreign lands who do not accept cedis. So truly the central bank is helping traders. Another way to look at it is that if your brother gets admission to a school in America you can't go to America and pay cedis. So you can ask a friend in America who needs cedis in Ghana to take your cedis or pay your brother's fees in dollars in America so you give him cedis when he is in Ghana. The exchange helps both of you. That's how you have to see the Central Bank

It is very good to see the Ghana Cedi appreciating, for if you have a weak currency you have no country, it is that simple, nothing else to talk about. We need to look at the fundamentals, the structures that support a stronger currency, mainly, not renewing the Tarkwa Goldfields Limited mining lease next year and taking it back inhouse, BOG policies alone cannot completely make the Cedi a strong currency. The truth is our useless leaders over the past 50 years knows the reason why the Cedi is always depreciating, but they will hide behind BOG and do nothing, the answer is for them to stop signing stupid and corrupt leases all over the place to give our minerals away for nothing, where billions of dollars are repatrated every 4 months to these foreign investors home countries, counter productive, and also borrowing monies all over the places, which we have to pay back in foreign currency, the US Dollar. Our weak, useless, abusive, liars, corrupt and evil presidents over the past 50 years are our problem, and the people causing abject poverty in Ghana and always destroying the economy.

We will all payback in other means if care is not taken. Bank of Ghana is proving to the world of doing a good job but we are digging our own grave.
