The $4b would be enough for a railway construction from south to north. To boost the economy in creating several jobs formal and informal. Ghana is disgraced internationally every day every hour. Even the agenda 111 hospitals could help a lot instead of planting Ghanaian women in the Caribbean etc.
Once elected see the needs instead. Wanted things are trivialities.

How about the hundreds of human lives that would be preserved through a reliable road network. There is not a week without catastrophic accidents on the Accra-Kumasi road. One life lost is too many. And how about the ease of human movement? Upon completion, one can easily leave Kumasi early morning to catch a flight at KIA without having to spend a night in Accra. And how about the reduced cost of vehicle maintenance due to less wear and tear? This would actually lessen the stress on emergency centers at hospitals from less road accidents. So it’s not as simplistic as you put it.

You got it all wrong. The expressway is going to be either a dual carriage or three-lane expressway. Add the bridges, overpasses, and ancillary lanes and you’d see that $4 billion is about right.

It is rather for the means to skim the normal corrupt 10% of new project. This is always the issue with our corrupt politicians.
It was true with the, Seglemi Housing Project, the 200 Community Day SHS, the Agenda 111, the National Holy Cathedral, etc. All what politicians know to do is START A NEW PROJECT so they can skim the 10% from the loans they get for such new project. After they squander the funds and the project stalls, either they stop or they lose power and the next guy/govt abandons it - only to start another new project.
Otherwise, how on earth would a govt of Ghana neglect many of the uncompleted projects to start one like this?
I repeat, let anyone place a bet with me that this project will never see day of light by 2029!!!!
