WHY IS GHANA BUYING GOLD WHEN THE GOLD ORE CAN BE MINED IN OUR OWN SOIL? THIS MAKES NO SENSE TO ME.
WHAT ARE ANGLOGOLD ASHANTI, NEWMONT, AND OTHER FOREIGN GOLD MININING COMPANIES STILL DOING IN GHANA?
SAME QUESTION APPLIES TO HYDROCARBONS (CRUDE OIL), LITHIUM, BAUXITE MANGANESE, URANIUM, PLUTONIUM, DIAMONDS, ETC. WHAT'S WRONG WITH GHANA'S FUCKING LEADERS?
WHAT PREVENTS GHANA'S USELESS LEADERS FROM SETTING UP GHANA'S OWN GOLD AND DIAMONDS MINING COMPANIES THE LIKES OF ANGLOGOLD ASHANTI, NEWMONT AND OTHER FOREIGN MINING COMPANIES, AND MINING OUR OWN GOLD, REFINING OUR GOLD ORE TO INTERNATIONAL ASSAY STANDARDS, MOULDING OUR GOLD TO 12.5KG BULLIONS, SELLING THE BULLIONS IN THE TAX-FREE ARAB GULF STATES, ETC., AND DIVERSIFYING INTO INVESTMENTS OF GHANA'S MINERALS AND CRUDE OIL SALES PROCEEDS IN SETTING UP STRATEGIC MULTINATIONAL GLOBAL COMPANIES LIKE THE INDIANS ARE DOING WITH THE TATA GROUP AND LULU HYPERMARKET CHAINS SCATTERED ACROSS THE WEALTHY GULF ARAB STATES?
EVEN THE GULF ARABS HAVE BEEN DIVERSIFYING THEIR CRUDE OIL SALES REVENUES SO SPECTACULARLY WITH THE ACQUISITION OF UK AND EUROPEAN FOOTBALL CLUBS, HARRODS IN KNIGHTSBRIDGE LONDON, AND OTHER STRATEGIC GLOBAL BUSINESS UNITS, ETC.
DR. NKRUMAH STARTED THIS COMMONSENSE BUSINESS DIVERSIFICATION STRATEGY IN GHANA. WHY CAN'T GHANA'S FUCKING LAZY LEADERS DO THIS ABROAD LIKE THE INDIANS AND GULF ARABS HAVE BEEN DOING SO PROFITABLY ACROSS AMERICA, WESTERN EUROPE AND THE UK?
WHAT PREVENTS GHANA'S USELESS LEADERS FROM HAVING THE MINDSET OF GHANA'S ECONOMIC INDEPENDENCE BY DIVERSIFYING OUR GOLD AND OTHER RESOURCES EXPORT SALES REVENUES TO TAKE THE ADVANTAGES OF ECONOMIES OF SCALE BY HORIZONTAL AND/OR VERTICAL INTEGRATION OF GHANA'S MASSIVE RESOURCE AND ECONOMIC POTENTIALS?
GHANA'S FUCKING LEADERS CANNOT BE GOING FOOLING AROUND DOING "LALASULALA" AT THE IMF/WORLD BANK FOR LOANS AND HANDOUTS SINCE 1957 TILL THY KINGDOM COME.
WHAT KINDS OF BREED ARE GHANA'S FUCKING LEADERS?

Mining is a serious business and extremely capital intensive. If Ghanaians are serious about ownership, they should start with the greenfield, do adequate prospecting and come up with a commercial mine. Waiting to sack someone isn’t the best. However if the brownfield indicates that it wants to sell off then a Ghanaian should have the first right of refusal.
Any money taken over should not be for government but competent Ghanaian company to avoid the obvious of collapse.
In Sierra Leone local bank supported local company after the company went globe trotting and didn’t get a FID. SSNIT, mutual funds etc should consider investing in Ghanaians to own mines. It’s beneficial

Gold Fields achieved a record $3.57 billion profit in 2025...how much did GH get from this bumper harvest....
If this lease is extended I hope Ghana's SSNIT and GOLDBOD can have a bigger stake/shareholding in this asset over the next 20yrs..
At least if the mine is left in the competent hands of the current owners but with a larger ghana shareholding % eg. 45% then we can have a mine that will not be run down by any GOV. but with good inflows annually via bigger dividend payment in addition to royalities and all other exisiting statutories.....
Goldfields tarkwa alone can generate more revenue than our present COACOA BORD so government of Ghana should seriously negotiate an a game changing arrangement that will inject serious FX into Ghana economy.
let's learn from the gulf states and how they used their natural resources to transform their economies.

Ghana must not be poor. We are being Short-changed by those whites at all fronts and spheres and yet they have the guts to tell us to get out of their countries?? Countries that we are funding and whose economies We are propping up year after year? We must copy what the Gulf states did to change our economic fortunes. The evidence are right in front of us. But the question is do we have the courage to take our destinies into our own hands and chart a better way forward for mother Ghana and her children.
