Also...these deals are really about China stitching the USA and others out of the rare earths market. So they would probably pay a little more just to spite the US, who having blasted their rare earths to smithereens in their unnecessary war with Iran would be desperate for them.
I hope that the Ghanaian government will be craftier and firstly, play off sides, but also demand much much more. If not, then we have a naïve government. And I don't think that is the case.
