The government should do whatever it can to help Kelvin Okyere to operate his oil block. As for our bauxite and iron, the value chain from mining and processing should be locally led and owned.

It is proper that "the sons of the soil" (natives) are given the opportunity to control the resources of Ghana.
But the country is not for one person, family or company. In this regard, the ownership and control of national strategic resources should be opened to all citizens. More importantly, there should be legislation or constitutional amendment to prevent one person or individual to be in most advantageous position supported by family members in government to prevent "monopoly" or near "monopoly" in the ownership and management of the vital resources of the country.
Political parties should not assume that when they are in power the resources of the country are theirs to dish out to their party sponsors and supporters.
This is nepotism and cronyism and should be stopped forthwith. We have had enough.
