You were adamant and ascribed many reasons, including high cost of maintenance and spareparts which were not justifiable. I think government has to introduce a price control regime in this country. If not some greedy folks are just exploiters.

Drivers now live below the poverty line,it's the consumers that bitch and moan what fares cost,but they are not the ones paying the cost of insurance, registration, police bribes,....there would very few tro tro , taxi's,that would pass a roadworthy test simply because of the cost to keep card on the road.
When there is a fuel increase of say 15% ,drivers are lucky to get a 7% increase in fares,so that's why there is no decrease.....FARES SHOULD KEEP PACE WITH INFLATION, OTHERWISE ,THEY GO BACKWARDS.

Fares have to keep pace with any fuel increases, .....These drivers even now have trouble breaking even so it's only right that fare increases are pegged to inflation, otherwise they are just going backwards.
