    Even if you offer it to them at cheaper prices they can't afford. The erratic unintelligent Stabilisation of the value of the Cedi has caused this.They couldn't sell their rice & maize bcoz of cheap imports.

    The solution to a food glut is not free fertilizer. It is finding a market for the surplus produce. That is a job for the ministries in charge of agriculture, trade and agribusiness.

    Give free fertiliser but the farmer cannot sell produce for reduced prices for we the consumer.
