It is a blessing and a curse. One it is a blessing because we make more when we sell our oil. It is curse because we import most of our petroleum products from outside the country and we don’t really own most of crude oil so even tho there is an increase we only make small fraction of the total oil produced. So an increase in crude prices is a curse more than a blessing because we buy more than we send out. We are a crude consuming nation as compared to a producing country.
