  It is not an ambitious goal to increase manufacturing share of GDP from 10 to 15 by 2030. A mere 5% increase is nothing to write home about considering the level of unemployment in the country. Go to Ethiopia and see how the country is expanding its manufacturing sector and thereby job opportunities for the youth. Our ambitious level is very low in Ghana. Furthermore, instead of using our limited resources to build a Hajj village at the airport (for pilgrims to Saudi Arabia) that money could have gone to the industrial sector to create job opportunities. If it is not a cathedral then it is a Hajj village. Africa is full of foolish leaders.

What’s the essence of hajj village, hajj village is even more useless than national cathedral..the earlier we wake up as country, the better for us..

  @Bitter truth. The Hajj village is currently under construction at the airport with the full support of the President. It is astonishing that Ghanaians including the media are quiet over this wasteful project.

This can only take place in a country where there is no rule of law. In a truely democratic country, someone will sue the government in court for violating the constitution.

If Muslims want to travel to Mecca, can’t they book their own hotels to stay just as any ordinary Ghanaian..honestly I don’t know why I was born into such a dumb ass country with a useless leadership..Ghana govt uses our tax money to sponsor some Muslims to Mecca at the expense of the average Ghanaian tax payer..am airport was built in tamale so they can use it for their trip to Mecca..and now, they want to build special hajj village..what the hell? If all citizens or religious bodies are demanding for this kind of services, as a Govt, can u provide these services..and now all the bigger media houses in Ghana, they are on the payroll of Ndc, so they can’t talk..what’s going on..
