Ghana's inflation is mirroring some of the European nations inflation if it is true, we need to strive and keep it low. Also, we need to bring down interest rate fast, to allow businesses to grow. I believe our leaders will see we can grow our economy like some of the European and Asian countries, Ghana is a very rich country bar corruption, lies, greed and poor management of the economy.

What's the difference between 3.8% and 20% or 30% inflation ?I'm asking this simply because the there's no difference in terms of cost of living. Prices of goods and services remain unchanged or have even gone higher than 30% inflation. Dollar is down and inflation perfect but these downward trends are not being felt on the ground. So did 'we go or did we come'? The value is the same oo.

That is exactly what it means..when the rate of inflation falls it broadly means that average prices have stabled(meaning prices are not increasing at the rate it used to be before. So, for example, if you go to grocery store or the local market in your area today you will find prices that have remained the same or decrease within the last few months. So when we say inflation has dropped it does not mean prices have decreased in that sense.

Some of you think a reduction in inflation means a drop in prices. That is wrong. But it means the rate at which prices were increasing have dropped.

if the rate has decreased, it does not translate into higher prices and also higher service charges. This is basic economics.

It will be helpful if Dr. Iddrissu can cite example of a major food item he tracks to showcase the drop in inflation reading. Most people are saying the "cost of living is still high".

How come inflation is falling like a mango but nothing else in the economy is responding to this change? With all due respect, is Dr. Alhassan using the right numbers and methodology for basket of goods they are tracking? It just seems odd the lack of connection between the inflation numbers and other indicators such as the cost of borrowing etc.
