In a constitutional democracy, the courts must be respected, not pressured. On this occasion, the Supreme Court rose to that responsibility while the Attorney-General fell short of it.
The Supreme Court has spoken clearly. Rule of law over rule of power.
The AG’s persistence was unnecessary and legally weak.
The AG should respect finality in judgments, not test the Court’s patience.
Democracy works when courts are bold and independent.
The Supreme Court reminded everyone: procedure matters.
The Supreme Court stood for fairness; the AG stood corrected.
Kudos to the Supreme Court for protecting judicial integrity.
