NPP zombies let me educate you this is what your useless little brain leaders couldn’t do, the word “intermediation” means that the bank of Ghana won’t go out to borrow money the way the incompetent NPP government did by borrowing 3 billion dollars every January at bond market, here the BOG will go to the commercial banks and tell them to ask their customers who needs dollars to bring cedis equivalent of 1 billion dollars and the BOG will give the Cedi to Goldbod and they will go out to buy gold for the BOG to sell them abroad and bring the dollars to the commercial which they will sell it back to their customers who needs dollars

Bank of Ghana raises the cash for gold buying in cedis (strong currency) on the local market. It passes the cash to Goldbod, which has a nice deal with Alhaji Bawa, the national aggregator.

Goldbod negotiates a buyer's price with galamseyers, other small-scale producers and large mining companies (20% of output) IN CEDIS (strong currency), usually based on the world market price of gold and not what gold would usually sell for in Ghana. I.e. a very high price.

Alhaji Bawa takes the Bank of Ghana money from Goldbod to pay the off-takers/buyers who collect directly from producers and he quickly delivers the gold to Goldbod. The off-takers add on fat fees. Alhaji Bawa also has to remind himself to charge his own fee. He has to return the money to Goldbod within three days.

All of this swells the cedi price paid for gold in Ghana.

Goldbod then sells a consignment on the international market FOR DOLLARS (weak currency; the spot price varies). It puts whatever it gets back into the Bank of Ghana. If it makes a loss in selling, the loss goes onto the books of the Central Bank.

"Clever", isn't it? NOT.

Why do you call it injection?
Is it not for currency circulation? The BOG uses the GHC traders deposit for their purchases and give them back the USD for the foreign payments. Indeed, either G4R or GoldBod activities, the BOG needs the GHC to survive in the field of their activities.
So calling the process injection gives the opposition parties a propaganda tool to make false accusations.
