  The current crop of individuals you are talking about are selfish. When petrol prices are reduced, dollar strength reduces, inflation reduces, the repo rate or bank rate reduced, yet they selfishly refuse to reduce transportation fares. Some do it just to make a Government they dislike unpopular irrespective of the good work of the government. With government operating transport and charging competitive prices, it will serve as a check on the selfish Ghanaian individual transport operator. Stringent laws should be made to ensure accountability from government transport staff and management. Punishments should be meted out to those who fall foul of the rules. Staff found stealing or misconducting themselves sacked. Gadgets fixed in the buses for things happening in the buses and bus stations monitored from the security office and by management.

Ghana has other car industries setting up shop but cannot revive NEOPLAN that used to provide comfortable rides to Ghanaians. WHY? WHY? Railways was collapsed by various governments and its revival is mediocre. We need city tram ways, metro lines for effective mass transit, despite initial high cost. For long term value, it is worth the investment (not naive about sky train issue). The importation of more buses has and would never ever solve Ghana mass transit issues..... lack of funds for spare parts, bad roads, inefficient administrations, etc. What happened to all of the buses ordered by the previous government? Learn folks, learn. PLEASE, REVIVE NEOPLAN. MAKE NEOPLAN GREAT AGAIN AND AGAIN!!!!

This December 2025 throughout the 2026 summer August 30th, is their planned wicked agenda. Ghana/Africa must do everything possible to highly secure their LAND, AIR and SEA borders. Ghana/Africa must install high powered detective air and underwater sensors and cameras in other to monitor their offshore seas and air bases.
  
  Ghana/Africa must run a joint thorough and consistent military security checks and monitor in the deepest part of the Atlantic ocean because that is one of the places the evil white man and his gang of allies are planning their AQUA BOMBINGS to cause flooding. Prepare the military to shoot down with the slightest suspicion of any known or unidentified sailing and flying object in the air waves and the sea. Ghana/Africa must strongly block the entry and forcefully demand and push for every activity and tracking of any so called Space Rocket the evil white man and his gang of allies would send into the skies. Ghana/Africa must request and demand for a well detailed information and status of every vessel and vehicle (private and commercial) before they embark on their journey into any African country air, land and sea bases and also enforce the recordings of every control room throughout the entire journey. Ghana/Africa must also prevent every airplane and sea vessels from discharging any form of chemical or waste into the air/sea waves. All the activities of the evil white man's military bases in any African country must be strongly monitored and consistently checked, or if possible completely removed!   he government has announced plans to procure 500 new buses over the short to medium term to strengthen the operations of Metro Mass Transit Limited (MMTL) and enhance public transport across the country.
  
  The Minister for Transport, Joseph Bukari Nikpe, made the announcement in Parliament on Thursday, October 30, 2025, outlining the initiative as part of the government’s broader strategy to revitalise public transportation and support Ghana’s economic transformation agenda.
  
  According to the minister, about 150 buses are expected to arrive early next year, marking the first phase of the rollout.
  
  Mr. Nikpe noted that Metro Mass Transit’s current fleet of just 134 operational buses has made it difficult for the company to sustain operations, expand routes, and meet the growing demand for affordable and reliable public transport.
  
  THe minister further revealed that Metro Mass Transit is taking steps to operationalise aspects of a 24-hour economy, starting with its vehicle maintenance department and traffic unit, to ensure buses remain available and functional at all times.

  The matter is not purchasing new busses which gets grounded in no time. It is the management of state enterprises by politicians who have no training in professional business and project management. I hope and pray that bodies like the Ghana Institute of Directors, the IEA, etc has made an input to the review of the constitution. We need trained and professional directors to manage state business enterprises - the kind of Ghanaians you would fine as CEOs for Unilever, Coca Cola, Nestlé, Maersk Line, Stanchart, Ecobank, etc. As long as political association is the main qualification for these enterprises they will continue to fail irrespective of the investments made to retool them. In many cases the retooling is even done because of 10% coming to the decision maker. God help us.
