Mr acheampong what to you mean by overvalued, should the people be allow to suffer by allowing the cedi to depreciate? I think BoG should intervene even more, don't forget the cedi was 4 cedis before

The first people to arrest is the bank managers and our politicians. Where do you think the sellers get the money from? Forex deposited at the banks are given to them to sell. Why cut the snake's tail instead of the head?

This is the main problem with our forex market. The banks loves doing business with them, so they always deny people the forex and direct them to these "Abokis" doing the illegal trade. They sell the dollars to the abokis and they also add their margins making the dollar more expensive. If we can sustain this fight, the forex market will clean.

This is much ado about nothing, our John read history but…….This exercise has happened before over the years when there was no social media,AI etc, other countries are leveraging on digitalization to advance their economies while we are chasing black marketeers,is it not a sign of failure and cluelessness? I thought the Finance Minister, his advisers and BoG Governor are said to be doing unprecedented wonders never seen before so why this? Like rats being chased they will simply disappear into their holes and drive up the forex rates, this has happened before and it is elementary everyday commonsense. One whole year gone and it is now apparent that it is all settings and optics with all the savings made from galamsey being used to prop up the physically disabled cedi,$10 billion gone according BoG Governor,it is clear that this was promptly converted and flown to where they came from,is this going reduce unemployment and drive up manufacturing for exports? Hmmmmm!!!!
