Ato provide some of the gold money to buy machines for the mining and processing of the Lithium and do not allow them to give to them. We have cash to do it on our own and make 100% profit.

We need a new tax regime in Ghana just like the west because it feels outdated.
Start linking personal and business bank account numbers to the Tax office. Put a cap on how many bank accounts one can have to ensure traceability eg. Business owners should have documented business account for per business they own, Max 2 for citizens and max 1 for non-citizen etc... . Allow for bank account portability so users can move accounts and loads to any bank they prefer for better rates.
All new borns should automatically be captured and all deceased with automatic be known.
This will help in gather statics to help government take right and strategic decisions based on miningful data.
Then also link all citizens and non-citizens info from NIA (which I think needs to merged as a subset of the Tax office) to this. Set thresholds or make people declare yearly their sources of income and how much the make on the average. Let them list all the tangible assets they own yearly.
When all these infos are gathered you can easy spot who is tax evading and are doing business but have not register or declared as such. Especially property sales like homes, lands, real estates should be taxed in my opinion.
Then rather reduce importation tax reasonably or propose tax weivers for machineries (all types of machines) and tech to open the opportunities for more businesses to open and run to fast-track industrialization and Ghanas growth.
For more transparency at the customs duty propocess to allow us to spot corrupted officials draining the country of revenue for their personal interest. Ai and new tech can easy help flag over charging or under charging of duties. Publish a yearly chart of duty categories.
More of such controls will help Ghana block the drainage of our tax revenues and accelerate the growth of Ghana. No need to go borrow money's from the west any longer.
