But Afghanistan with all the opium around taking over other crops, that country is not a rich one. Crime level in Afghanistan is high as a result of opium consumption. The same is the case of Columbia and Mexico in Central America where cocaine is produced. Some Columbians and Mexicans leave their country for the US because cocaine has rather made their lives miserable.
