How is it that traders go all the way to Burkina Faso to import tomatoes but you can't sell yours? Is it the price, the type of tomato?

The farmers are not reliable so factors have to do on farming. Usually factory pay per kilo and buy in bulk but farmers sell small small for higher profits on the market but not to factory. So now that market women are not buying, they want factory to buy meanwhile the unreliable nature of farmers make factories to do own farming or source from elsewhere so can't suddenly buy from all farmers. The farmers are not selling because market women offer 150. If they will sell for 200 am sure the factory will buy so the lack of market is always about price

Our traditional small farm economies is anti-factory, and anti-mass production. No factory can survive by buying its raw materials from small scale farmers at the same price as fresh produce market. The difference is between food crop and cash crop pricing. They simply will be paying for the cost of low productivity and inefficiency and transferring into their processing cost. The solution is for farmers to lower the cost of the farm produce far below 80 cedis to make a higher profit margin from the 100 cedis offered by factories, otherwise the factories themselves will close down. This is what has killed all processing factories, low farm productivity and insistence on using fluctuating fresh produce market price as the benchmark price even when there is a glut. The truth is that only medium to large scale farmers can profitably supply factories, whilst small holders concentrate on markets

Give the so called technical men the chance and talk more but just give them the opportunity and find wanting. Me the politician is a liar and a fool. Someone will start a program today and another will come and abandon it to start the same program with a different name. And as stupid as we the citizens are see nothing wrong with it. The black foolish colour human being shall never progress till they kingdom comes. Let them chop and go, this is the wicked politician for you. They make the noise let's eat what we grow, but they and their families will never eat what they said we grow. Fooools
