  What does this mean? Who writes these stories? What does the use of the word "tariff" in this context mean? EVEN IF THE MINISTER USED THE WORD IN THAT MANNER, it's your job as a communicator to write it in such a way, that I am not scratching my head to understand it. Waste of time i'll never get back. NOW I AM ANGRY :-(

  Kindly read for clarity before commenting. The minister is simply saying health providers, including hospitals will be paid more for their services. He didn't say the beneficiaries/patients will be charged more.

  I hope it is realistic, healthcare is expensive and that’s why c people pool resources together for that, NHiS must be compulsory and enforced for a stronger Insurance. I’m happy they have uncapped the NHIL fund. But this should not lead to “kokwasa” kind of reimbursement, currently when you go to the hospital, instead of them to give you the drug, they would write for you to go and buy outside, and no pharmacy accepts NHIS so it becomes out of pocket payment, which is bad.

  The only thing this NHIS covers is a consultation fee period. We the patients bear the cost of everything including a common paracetamol. What at all is the essence of having this card?? CRIMINALS
