  This is after they have wasted $8 billion to fake the value of the currency just for propaganda purposes. That $8 billion could have constructed dual carriageways from Aflao to Elubo, Accra to Kumasi to Tamale and Kumasi to Sunyani with world class roads. It could also have built high speed electric rail system from Accra to Kumasi to Tamale and Accra to Takoradi combined. Tanzania has built a high speed electric rail system from Dar El Salam to Dodoma, a distance of around 440km with $3 billion and that include the electrified track and at least 4 electric modern trains and train stations that is more modern than many in advanced Western countries. Just go to neighboring country Ivory Coast and see the road system Allasane Ouattara has built in Abidjan and other areas of his country. Ghanaian Politicians don't want to leave a good legacy. They only want to enrich themselves by any means in Politics. Accra is over 50yrs behind Abidjan in development. The development of these 2 cities is not even close in comparison. Abidjan can match any well developed Western city

  Is spending $8 billion to shore up a currency an intelligent action to take by a development country where nurses and teachers haven't been paid their salaries for almost a year in many cases, and where many road construction projects have been abandoned by contractors for non payment of what they are owed? What strengthens the value of a currency apart from a country producing what it consumes and cutting down imports? Ghana imports a huge amount of chicken and eggs that could otherwise be produced locally. Everything, Ghanaians want to import. The one district, one factory initiative that was helping to industrialize the country and cut down on importations was scrapped by this foolish government because it was started by an opposition party, with the knotty nosed lady Minister announcing its discontinuation with a smirk on her ugly face. NDC is indeed a curse on Ghana
