This is confusing, if inflation of items slows down it doesn't mean the prices of items are down. It only means a slow down in the rate of increase of prices. When is prices of cement going down? It was around 40+ cedis in early 2022, it is now above 120 cedis even after the cedis recovery. A Tipper load of sand and stone aggregates still over 3500 cedis from 800cedis in early 2022. Steel have seen a good reduction but not up to what was expected. We need proper regulation in this sector. look at the scrutiny on dstv, the building materials sector deserves even more. They are just fleecing us and prices of real estate services like rent will not go down till we tighten up on the scalpers.
