To those of you insulting Kufuor, anytime a country prints currency with high figures, it means the economy is in a big mess. When JJ took power, our biggest notes was I think the 100-cedi notes. He recalled all and printed 500 and 5000 notes which was okay with Ghanaians who have their brain right at their heels.
Go to any country like the US, UK, etc and find out if they have such notes like $500 or $1000 bill. But in Ghana, when JJ printed those useless bills signaling that the economy was in a mess, Ghanaians love it. Are we normal or what?
Look at the currencies since 1957 and tell me which ones other than those printed by has figures of 5000 cedis, and what was the message?
JJ destroyed our economy with his useless revolution.

so as soon as Kwame Nkrumah was overthrown, we went from having 50cedi as a maximum tender, to having a need for a 1000cedi note?! and then RE-DENOMINATION happened and we all of a sudden had 1cedi notes again.
