Tema Oil refinery is old and not big enough to be run profitably. Oil refinery is a business of scale, which means u have to refine more volumes before it becomes profitable. Also u have to have a large petrochemical industry ...

Tema Oil refinery is old and not big enough to be run profitably. Oil refinery is a business of scale, which means u have to refine more volumes before it becomes profitable. Also u have to have a large petrochemical industry to take the bus products to do agro chemicals, petroleum jelly,bitumen etc .since we don’t have that , we will operate Tema oil refinery at a loss all the time .
