They need to investigate them. 2012 was there with offer letter from a uni to pursue my studies. Asked for the form from the desk. I was told to go get letter from my MP. I asked why? I proved I'm Ghanaian, showed birth certificate, passport, my records from school to finishing uni in Ghana. The lady then calls one manager who came over and said I need to get letter from my MP. So as of that time I was in the ledzokuku constituency (which is now split into two constituencies). I asked myself where does the MP live? And why do I need endorsement from MP. The guy ignored me walked away and the lady said that is the process although not in the form. I got so confused why they did that. Two days after went there again but nothing happened. I wasn't given the chance to submit my eligible forms to compete. Later coincidentally met another person who told me that office is not what we expect it to be so shd rather look for external fund to pursue my studies.
After been successful with an external fund and joining my uni aftet 1 yr of given offer from uni, I got to the uni abroad, and that was when I saw some who claimed were funded by Gh scholarship secretariat. Either party people, relatives with connections with politicians and hardly met anyone who had no connection with someone in either npp of ndc. I asked how the process was, all were like pick a form and submit. I was like great not for some people like me. But wasn't bothered bvos either ways that door got opened by God. But I was thinking about some of my friends smart guys ladies who were and are still looking for scholarships to date.
Why should we run a country like that? Just to say worth the Osp to investigate and perhaps they find a way to make applications online? Not sure if that is done. But even in Gh if online how genuine will it be. Better ways have to be designed and multiple processes or offices used for this? That too not sure. Others can suggest better ways to do this. Good luck investigating this case. God bless Gh

Hmmmmm .....your assertion is not true. The OSP has secured seven (7) convictions through plea bargaining under the Ghana Education Service payroll fraud investigation which was jointly conducted with the Controller and Accountant General’s Department.
The OSP also reports that the joint investigation also resulted in the suspension of GH¢2,854,144.80 and the removal of names of deceased, retirees, and post vacators from the government payroll, saving the country GH¢34,249,737.06. The point is that if these sums had gone undetected, they would have been paid to individuals for no work done.

The elephant in the room is the question: 'Where is Mr. Ofori Attah, the former Finance Minister.?' Some of us told the nation from early that the man is not going to return to Ghana. Never. He dribbled you, Sir.

This is one of the best news by the OSP. Congratulations. A civil war would breakout if Ghanaians get a fraction of the corruption that took place there. Never seen this type of brazeen looting anywhere in the world.

Francise, the OSP took the first steps to ensure Mr. Ken Ofori-Atta’s name is on the INTERPOL red Notice for his location and provisional arrest in the jurisdiction he is found. This was done pending his extradition or surrender. The Office also dispatched a request through the Attorney General for his extradition to Ghana. I must admit that extradition processes go through various levels of checks from the jurisdiction where the person is located. These processes take some time, and can be complex, time-consuming, and it may take weeks or even months for Mr. Ofori-Atta to be transferred to Ghana. But it is work in progress.
