If you are doing business and making money you can contribute privately to SSNIT so when you reach a certain age you claim your pension. That might be the case in this situation

The pension system in Ghana should be capped, and anyone whose pension is above certain threshold should be taxed appropriately, the same as the British system, not hard. The current system is unsustainable, design to support the rich and make the poor poorer, we need parliament to look at the pension law and amend it so that it is balance and fair for the poor, rich and the country.
