The crying doctor must tell Ghanaians how come they are the only country producing a bag of cement at 8 USD when the same bag of cement is being produced in Togo,Benin and Nigeria at 6 USD. Early this year when the exchange rate was 14 cedis to the dollar they were selling a bag between 110 to 120 cedis! When the exchange rate went to 11 cedis, they should reduced their prices to 88 cedis but they all refused because it's a cartel being run by greedy private owners! The state owned cement producer in Togo will bring his cement at 6USD and sell it at least 8 USD ! Say 100 cedis today exchange rate! Dangote will also bring their cement and make huge profit and create jobs for the teaming youth in Nigeria! Please stop the crying Dr. and face reality! Reduce your prices and the import will cease!

Local cement manufacturers are PROFITEERING, REFUSE TO REDUCE THE PRICE OF CEMENT. Competitive market shall help the cement product. Monopoly Manufacturers why are lamenting, if you are not cheating Ghanaians .
Why the Government of Ghana allowed importation of Cement while we manufacture cement locally. It doesn’t make sense. It put pressure on the Foreign exchange markets.. Who allows that. This is simple economics.
Ghana is a free market economy
Government should stay out of this. If the Ghanaian cement manufacturers are providing good prices why the import?
protection bull shit dont work the cement industray should reduce price like the Nigerian company and stop crying you have been ripping us off for many years we got no sympathy for you crooks

Where can I locate some of the Togo imported cement?
Since our local cement industry refuses to reduce prices, other alternatives must be explored.
They want monopoly. Greedy f00ls. If dangote cement hadn't entered ghana, cement would have been more than 200 by now, it was the dangote cement that brought in stability into the cement industry. Monopoly is not good.
This is what we called competition, same as the poultry industry. We have poultry farmers in the country yet there's impartation of cheap unhygienic poultry products in the country.
Yes it is time for Ghana cement to have price reduction. Outside cement is not competing against Ghana cement. It is Ghana cement is too expensive too much profit.
Reduce your prices. Greedy bustards.
We pray for more of it kind to come. Nonsense
We fight everyone who might be helping the common Ghanaians. It's Nigerians, now Togolese, and who is next? We are afraid of competition and you guys always want the masses to join you in your selfish and wicked fight.
Greedy people! If you people afraid of competition, the best thing is to reduce your price other than that we're patronize the foreign ones.
All this is due to the high prices of the cement produce in Ghana. Kalabule prices. If the prices are reasonable no trader can import and make profit but because prices here in ghana is higher people can import pay duty and s ...

If the quality of the imported cement is comparable to the local brands, it's very good. We need competition to be more efficient. The local cement manufacturers cannot fleece Ghanaians.
Let the imports flow,we're tired of ghacem and others. Ghc118 for a bag of cement, why?
Always blabbing about the right thing while they do contrary. Aren't they manufacture with the same materials you do? Greedy bastards!
The local industry can't meet the demand so it will creat artificial inflation let more importers join the line please
