  Good job GuTA, this is how we like it in town..u don’t need to sit down and wait for any govt..Ghana govt will always support foreigners whiles allowing its own citizens to suffer..nobody should wait for any govt..the laws states that no foreigners should engage in retail business and that’s it..close all foreign shops because they are criminals and they are flouting the laws of Ghana..if those criminal Nigerians don’t have money for wholesale, they should go back to their zoo Nigeria..nobody is forcing them to stay in Ghana..Ghanaian indigenous business needs to thrive..it’s even nonesense for Nigerian criminals to have the audacity to even challenge Ghanaians in our own country..who born dog if not some senseless weak govt..GUTA, don’t wait for any Govt, enforce the laws..the GIpc law states it clearly foreigners are not suppose to engage in retail business in Ghana..it’s very simple..I was in Dubai and they have same laws for their citizens..every shop in Dubai is owned by their citizens..

  Tanzania has passed a law recently which bans foreigners from engaging in trading either wholesale or retail..the Tanzania govt said it’s already struggling with unemployment and no foreigner should come and take the little trading business that’s being done by its citizens..I think Ghana should even apply same laws..why must Ghanaians always be struggling with foreigners over this nonesense issue in Ghana..why can’t Nigerians stay in their zoo Nigeria and do their trading? Nigeria has over 36 states, yet why are they so much always concerned and focused in Ghana because their citizens are too poor, they can’t survive there so now Ghana has become their target..we must wake up as people and kick these Nigerian criminals out of the system..

Full details: Tanzania enacted the Business Licensing (Prohibition of Business Activities for Non-Citizens) Order, 2025 in late July 2025, banning foreigners from 15 specific small-scale business activities to protect local jobs and promote Tanzanian entrepreneurs. These restricted sectors include small retail shops (excluding supermarkets), mobile money services, salons, tour guiding, and small-scale mining. Foreigners already operating in these areas must cease when their licenses expire and cannot renew them. The government cites concerns over foreign dominance and unethical practices by some businesses, while the move risks triggering regional trade tensions and has prompted criticism from neighboring countries like Kenya. I hope we can do same here in Ghana.

  You are afraid of competition. Some of these retailers sell at lower prices than our own Ghanaian sellers. I suggest you use prices to get them out instead of takashi. The same thing is happening with the goldbod, don't use the law to your advantage when you can not complete on level grounds. If a Ghanaian had started melcom retailing, the prices would have been 3 times what melcom started with on our retail market. Ghanaians should learn to compete and stop these monopolistic leanings with excuses!

  Who gave them the space they are operating? Why don’t you also learn from them. Probably these people are doing something right hence their business is flourishing. Also ask your members what is that we are not doing right?
