Ecowas treaty does not allow citizens to travel and settle freely in member countries and do business. First one must apply for a resident permit before starting to do any business.

Remember also the government is too broke to provide jobs to the extent that it can’t even employ more nurses with about seventy thousand of them awaiting posting. And the sad thing is that thousands are graduating from our tertiary institutions every year so who will employ all these people. Let’s protect the little market we have until it’s too late. That Chinese malls springing up everywhere should be a wake call to our authorities that a time will come they drive out all our brothers and sisters doing petty trading from the streets and you can imagine what unemployment can lead to. Every place is full of corrupt that the Ghanaian business community has no choice than to push the whole burden on the ordinary consumer at the end of the day
