Why do you expect the cedi to remain the same when most Ghanaian businesses refused to reduce their prices after 2 or so months of stability, also abotsi over hiking the dollar rate

Mahama is a SCAMMER. He wanted Ghanaians to clap for him so he and Ato Forson pumped billions to prop up the cedi, hence the fair exchange rate witnessed a couple of months ago. The Minority and IMF warned him but they were insulted by illiterate NDC ANIMALS. Meanwhile, the banks did not dollars for importers and the prices of goods remained high. The FAKE exchange rate had to crumble. Now the truth is out and the dollar will soon reach 18 Ghana cedis. Why should billions be used to support the cedi when that money is needed for development projects? Mahama's AZAAR government.

The amount of gold they exported to get billions within a short time cannot be replicated, as it was a one-time opportunity. Only for them to waste all that profit on temporary exchange rate manipulation.
China is the largest gold producer in the world, and they’re importing billions of gold from other countries including Ghana, which exporting zero percent of their gold. Ghanaians should wise up and ask themselves why the largest gold producer in the world is not exporting any of its gold, while importing even more gold.

The NPP reduced the dollar to 14 cedis in December please.
It only rose back to 15.5 in February.
Check the records and stop the propaganda.
At this rate, the dollar will cross 17 cedis by next year.
It’s already 11.76.

This dollar rate issue is tricky. Cocoa farmer for instance, benefit from a strong dollar, since cocoa is sold in dollars.
The export sector however, becomes less competitive when the cedi appreciates sharply due to high cost of export products.
China for instance, are known to intentionally devalue their currency to make their exports more competitive.
Since Ghana has an export-driven economy, it is not so beneficial for us to aggressively strengthen our current rate.
